A fun and popular way to be together at the bay

Skate Park

Skate Parks have proven to be popular athletic activity areas. Currently Ocean Beach, Clairemont and Linda Vista communities have skate parks. These are very popular sporting venues particularly for teens and young adults. Skate sports are healthy physical activities. When there is no area for this activity teens often find inappropriate areas on private property to challenge their skills and this can cause property damage and be more dangerous than a planned public skating venue. The “Revitalization Plans” have no skate park.

MBG proposes a skate park of the approximate size of that in Ocean Beach. This venue would be useful to the camping visitors, community members and regional visitors. The location will allow youth to skate or bike to the venue.

Lawn Games Area

Lawn games are popular among families and groups but there few locations where they can be enjoyed. Lawn games are currently a popular feature at Campland. MBG would include an area where horseshoes, lawn bowling, bocce and croquet would be available for rental at reasonable prices. These activities would be joint use for community members, day use visitors, and guests staying in the camping area.
