The city has a new proposed vision for the North East corner of Mission Bay the De Anza area of the park. There are several elements suggested in the new proposal that has been featured in the MBG plans since the beginning. Those include but are not limited to:
An Aquatics Facility
Adventure Play
A Nature Interpretive Center
Sand Volleyball center
A Kumayee Indian History Center
There are several facilities that are important to the community, visitors and the region that should not be left out. These facilities as well as those listed above should be shared between the community, guest accommodation visitors and regional users and include:
An amphitheater
Skatepark
In response to the city proposed plan MBG presents The Mission Bay Gateway Natural plan. The Mission Bay Gateway Natural Plan (MBGN) adds many of the proposed natural features presented by the city without the need to eliminate much-needed facilities and with minimal excavation, scraping, and dredging of De Anza Point.
Very few modifications are needed to turn the De Anza Natural Plan into Mission Bay Gateway Natural as seen above and below.
