Mission Bay is home to many different varieties of birds and wildlife for all to appreciate. There has been desires to expand the habitat for these creatures for some time and Mission Bay Gateway takes this in to account by adding up to 145 acres of marshland and area where bird and nature watching enthusiast can see these creatures in their natural habitat.

In the Mission Bay Gateway plan tent and RV camping is moved from it’s current location on the west side of Rose Creek to the east side and takes up the space where De Anza mobile home park used to be. The now vacated land can then be turned into marshland helping increase filtration and silt capture from Rose Creek and provide many more acres of habitat for local birds and wildlife.
